WIC:
There may be occasions where some families lack healthy and nutritious foods which can have a negative impact on a child’s ability to concentrate and learn effectively in school.  The Massachusetts Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program makes it possible for children to have nutritious food in difficult times. WIC is a nutrition program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other services, free of charge, to Massachusetts families who qualify. SNAP:
You may also be eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps. The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) administers SNAP benefits. SNAP provides a monthly benefit to buy nutritious foods. Please find information including eligibility criteria here:
