Arts & Enrichment ProgramsThroughout the school year arrange for in-school performances that are related to the curriculum and are age appropriate.
Birthday Book ClubDonate a book to your child’s classroom in honor of your child’s birthday. This committee is responsible for sending home registration notices at the beginning of the year to all students. A book drive is held to collect and label books for your child’s classroom.
Book FairIn May, we offer a book fair that provides a great selection of books for students to purchase. Each class is allotted a separate time to select books. Many volunteers are needed to assist students with their purchases, set-up the displays, restock the shelves, and breakdown the displays at the end of the Book Fair.
Bulletin BoardThe PAC maintains a bulletin board inside the Dewing School posting upcoming events, contests and more.Jestine Drillio
Gift Card Fundraiser
Dewing Dew GoodersThe Dew-Gooders provide a variety of outreach and humanitarian experiences to Dewing students and families, and they help to raise awareness about ways to serve others in the Merrimack Valley and beyond.
Dewing School SignThis committee will maintain the sign located in the front of the school. Committee members will post upcoming events, messages, etc. after receiving approval of both the PAC Chair(s) and the principal.
Family Dine Out NightsArrange fundraising evenings with local restaurants. Make-up and/or copy and distribute flyers each month.
Family Fun NightsPlan these two family nights for the Dewing School.
Box Tops for EducationStudents collect “Box Tops for Education” box tops from General Mills products and the school receives a cash rebate for each box top. Volunteers collect box tops from the classrooms, organize them and send them into General Mills for the rebate.
Food DriveEach year, the Dewing Community makes it their mission to help others in need. We coordinate a week long food drive to benefit the Tewksbury Food Pantry.OPEN
HospitalityThis committee acknowledges new students and students in need at the Dewing School.
Ice Cream SocialHeld once a year, this event allows the school community and evening to socialize. Parent volunteers are needed to set-up, scoop ice cream and clean up afterwards.OPEN
Community Nights for the Dewing/North StreetWhen there are events happening in the community, we want the Dewing and North Street to be involved. Previous events include a night at the RiverHawks, Providence Bruins and Red Sox.Debbie Johnson
SUM+IT Math ProgramThis completely VOLUNTARY, fun math packet is designed for students and parents to work together to complete. This is above and beyond what they are already taught in school. This is for 1st and 2nd graders only.
Library CardResponsible for the Dewing School to have a library drive at the town library.
Staff Appreciation LuncheonOnce a year parents host a luncheon for the staff of the Dewing School in appreciation for all they do for the students. Many volunteers are needed to cook, set-up, serve, and clean-up.
