Tewksbury Public Schools uses a comprehensive approact to support reading in elementary school with a focus on phonics, phonemic awareness, comprehension, vocabulary, fluency and writing. During the 2023-2024 school year, we adopted the EL curriculum to enhance our robust literacy curriculum which also includes Heggerty Phonemic Awareness and Fundations Phonics Instruction.
