Lights at TMHS Track update & presentation

Dear Neighbors and Abutters,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our community meeting at 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 24, regarding the Tewksbury Memorial High School Field Lighting Project. We appreciate your time, questions, and open dialogue regarding our athletic complex and its impact on the surrounding neighborhood.
A copy of the presentation can be found below. Following our discussion, we have established several immediate action items and design commitments to address neighborhood concerns:
- Field lights will be off by 8:30 PM to limit light exposure and late evening activity near adjacent properties.
- We are implementing changes to operational practices regarding sound levels and music volume during events and practices to keep audio output contained.
- The final project build will look to incorporate dedicated acoustic engineering measures to buffer and direct sound away from surrounding residences.
- If neighborhood noise levels become problematic during evening activities, please call the Athletic Department at 978-640-7825 and press 3. Calls will be logged and systematically reviewed and addressed by staff first thing the following morning.
