POWER RESTORED AT HEATH BROOK SCHOOL

This message is for all Heath Brook K-2 Parents.

Power has been restored to the HB school at approximately 12:15 today.

We are planning to transport ALL HB students back to the HB at approximately 1:00 for a normal 3:10
HB dismissal.

Extended Day students will be transported back to HB as well. So parents who have indicated to us that
their extended Day student needed to stay at the Dewing, can NOW pick up their student at the HB.

Due to the late timing of this return to HB, Extended Day parents who responded that you have made
alternate arrangements for your student, please keep those arrangements in place, to avoid further
confusion around the dismissal procedure for today.

Thank you for all your support and flexibility in ensuring that students had a safe and productive day.

Heath Brook Families – Message from Principal Wettstone

Dear Heath Brook Families,

We have been collaborating as an administrative team to prepare for the possibility that the Heath Brook School would be without power again today.   Although we were hoping that electricity would be restored overnight, we have a plan in place to provide a safe learning environment for our students and staff.  Here is some information regarding today’s schedule:

  • Please plan on arriving at the Heath Brook School this morning as normal.  We will be gathering Grades K and 1 in the cafeteria and Grade 2 in the gym for teachers to collect attendance and lunch count via paper/pencil.
  • We will then board buses and travel to the Dewing School.  Grade level teachers will be paired with a cooperating grade level classrooms for the day.
  • Lunch will be served as normal.
  • Students and staff will return via bus to the Heath Brook for afternoon dismissal.
  • Families without power should make the best decision for their student(s).
  • All Fall Festival Celebrations will be postponed until Wednesday, November 1st.
  • The Dewing School is located at 1469 Andover St., Tewksbury MA.  The phone number is 978-640-7858.

As always, thank you in advance for your support and cooperation.

My best,

Felicia Wettstone, Principal
