September is National Suicide Prevention Month

This month reminds us of the importance of connection, compassion, and support. In Tewksbury Public Schools, we are committed to creating school communities where every student feels seen, supported, and connected.
Important September Dates:
Sept. 6-12: National Suicide Prevention Week
Sept. 8: 988 Day “988 Reasons: Your reason is reason enough.” You don’t have to be in crisis to reach out for support.
Sept. 10: World Suicide Prevention Day: raising awareness, reducing stigma, and reinforcing that suicide is preventable.
Throughout the month, teal represents mental health awareness, healing, and support, while purple represents suicide prevention, remembrance, and advocacy.
If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
