0 Comments/in Uncategorized/by Terry GerrishDear Tewksbury Parents, Guardians, Community Members and event attendees,
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of our expectations at these events. The staff and students of Tewksbury Memorial High School(TMHS) need your cooperation in ensuring the safe, secure and fun environment for our students and guests while attending sporting and other school sponsored events at Doucette Stadium.
- As with any school sponsored event, whether in Tewksbury or on the road, the school code of conduct as outlined in Student Handbooks applies to all students.
Students who are not in high school (grades 9-12) are required to be accompanied by an adult. No Exceptions.
-
- Unattended children will not be allowed to enter without a parent or adult.
- Adults who are accompanying children are required to supervise them before, during and after the game.
- The playground area next to the Center School will be closed during games.
- Outside food and/or beverages may not be brought into the stadium.
- Smoking, vaping, tailgating and/or consumption of alcohol is not allowed anywhere on school property.
- Upon entry, all bags are subject to be searched.
- Upon leaving the event, re-entry into the stadium will not be allowed.
We appreciate your cooperation and attention to these matters and are enthusiastically looking forward to a safe, secure, and fun season of athletic events for all.

Homeroom/Teacher Assignments – It’s almost time
0 Comments/in Uncategorized/by Terry GerrishBy now you may have seen several messages with dates and information regarding when you will hear of your child(ren)’s class and teacher assignment. This time of year is exciting, and anxiety-producing, and people want information sometimes before it’s ready to share. We understand and feel many of the same feelings.
Before we can post the information for the upcoming school year our district office has to complete multiple reports from the previous school year to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Additionally, all the data from the new registrations has to be entered into our student information management system (we use Aspen). Currently, there are two years of data sitting in Aspen. We have to wait for a data rollover before the information for the new school year will be visible to all of us (families and schools).
We received an email from the Superintendent’s office that said this rollover will happen by August 16.
We at the Heath Brook and Dewing Schools know that Aspen accounts are not yet set up for families of our preschool and kindergarten students. For that reason we send notifications via US mail. We can’t mail them out, though, until the rollover happens – all Tewksbury schools try to notify families on the same day.
Please have patience with us. We know you want to know. We are all doing everything we can to make it happen as soon as reasonably possible.
Thank you,
Terry Gerrish, Heath Brook Principal and Alexis Bosworth, Dewing Principal
