In observance of Veteran’s Day later this week, THANK YOU to those who have served in our military.

Here are your weekly updates (I am posting for the next 2 weeks because there is a lot going on):

Nov. 8th– NO SCHOOL Election Day

Nov. 11th – NO SCHOOL Veteran’s Day

Nov. 14th Gift Card Fundraiser – Be sure to get those order forms in! They are due back on Nov. 14th. There are some amazing gift ideas on those forms!!

Nov. 14th 4-7pm McTeacher Night (see attached flyer) – Join us for our November Dine Our at McDonald’s for McTeacher Night! This is a super fun night with our teachers!

Nov. 16th 6:00-7:30 pm– Library Night at the Tewksbury Public Library

Nov. 17th & 18th – Picture Retakes.

October Coat Drive – We are partnering again with Anton’s Cleaners. They will accept all sizes from infant to adult (please no sweatshirts or spring jackets). Anton’s will dry clean them all for FREE!!!! There is a collection box in the lobby so drop of those extras!

How do I select a charitable organization to support?

On your first visit to AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), you need to select a charitable organization to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. We will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make at smile.amazon.com will result in a donation.

Can I change my charity?

Yes, you can change your charity any time. Your AmazonSmile purchases after the change count towards your newly selected charity. To change your charity, sign in to smile.amazon.com on your desktop or mobile phone browser and simply select “Change your Charity” in “Your Account.”

How much of my purchase does Amazon donate?

The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases. Volunteer Opportunities:

School Beautification Team: Got a green thumb? Have a knack for decorating? I am looking to reinstate this effort and need a few volunteers who can spruce up the front of the school and decorate by season. If this sounds like your thing, give me a shout!

Arts & Enrichment – Our current coordinator, Debbie Johnson, as many of you know has accepted the position of PAC Chair over at North Street. She is looking for someone to shadow her this year and start to take this coordinating effort off her plate. This programs runs throughout the school year and the coordinator arranges for in-school performances that are related to the curriculum and are age appropriate. If this sounds interesting to you, please contact me.

Shoparoo – Shoparoo is a FREE app to be downloaded to your phone. Get the app, choose LF Dewing School, select the grade you want to sponsor, and upload those receipts! Just upload grocery store, pet store, mom & pop store, Target/Walmart/BJs/Sams Club, and yes liquor store! It all counts! Get snapping!! Have questions? Stop & Shop– Register your card now for the Stop & Shop A+ Rewards program. Our schools earn lots of money every year just from your regular grocery shopping. Neighbors, relatives, friends, coworkers can all help our school with one purchase or weekly groceries and Peapod FROM ANY STOP & SHOP or GIANT store in the country! We earn points for every purchase and you do not lose gas rewards. You may choose up to two schools to share your points. If you have moved on from one school to another, or have kids in two schools, you can split the points but you must update your profile. Recycle That Bins/ YELLOW and PURPLE  bins  -UPDATEDid you know that you can donate ripped, stained and worn out linens and clothing in our bins? Grab all of those socks with holes and put them in a bag and place them in the YELLOW AND PURPLE bins at school. The fabric is shredded and made into industrial rags, and our schools get the money!

Paper Retriever/ YELLOW AND GREEN Bi ns-UPDATEThese bins now accept FLATTENED CARDBOARD.  Please do not put any paper in plastic bags. Save it in PAPER bags and bring to the YELLOW AND GREEN bins at school and our schools get the money!
